Serene Harmony Doula Co. was created with one simple mission: to support families through pregnancy and birth with calm, compassionate, and evidence-based care. Founded by a nursing professional passionate about maternal health, Serene Harmony was born from witnessing how continuous emotional and physical support can profoundly improve the birth experience. Recent research shows that doula support, whether in-person or virtual, is associated with lower rates of cesarean delivery, enhanced emotional support during pregnancy, and better engagement in informed decision-making around birth preferences (Karwa et al., 2024). A 2025 systematic review found that intrapartum doula support is consistently associated with lower rates of cesarean delivery, compared with standard care alone (Dias et al., 2025). Other research suggests that doula support improves patient-reported birth experiences and may contribute to lower rates of preterm birth and more positive interactions with care teams (Hubbard et al., 2023).
